T Rex
Race Dog
One of the icons in Dual Sport riding must be the 1150 GS / GSA.
I never had the privilege to own one but had the privilege to ride one , from time to time.
A very good friend of mine , Paul , owns a game farm in the Musina area and was so kind to invite me and a couple of friends to his Lodge.
Let's start with the pig ......
Kobus , a very inactive Wilddog , rides this classic.
The other two members of the group were myself and Piet . I pause here to mention that the piglets ...... That is a BMW thing.....we look the same ......
Piet , not a Wilddog member , is one of the easiest mates around. You phone him , he is there !!
We went through Polkwane to Vivo. Then through Waterpoort to the lodge about 10km south of Musina. Tar , ..... But we want to get there ASAP.
After a nice relaxed ride we arrived at the lodge. Named after the Boabab tree ......Adansonia Digitata.....
I call Paul to let him know we have arrived and myself an Kobus stretch the legs a bit.
Up to there the ride was easy , no serious challenge , save for approx 450 km of tar riding. These big bikes do that relatively easy.
Now the fun starts.
I warned them that , from the entrance gate to the lodge we have three dry river crossings. SAND .... the dreaded word in GS Country ....???
TBC .... ( to be continued ) ....
