The Yamaha TDM900 - an all-rounder? - I don't know

I noticed that the Yamaha TDM900 was made available in South Africa this week. A review claims: It's a civilised all-rounder for the grown-up rider whose circumstances allow him to own only one motorcycle". Looking at the picture, for example, it has no protection to the exhausts, weigh-in at 190kg, road tyres?, etc - is this bike really suitable as a D/S ride?
