Thinking of buying a GS 1150 - thoughts from owners?

Hi Dogs. I'm thinking seriously about buying a GS1150 or GSA1150.
I need to do some long commuting this year and need some longer legs than my trusty project bike 600.
Would really appreciate some feedback from owners:
1. Reliability?
2. What to look out for?
3. Price?
4. How many km's is too many?
5. Fuel consumption and cost of maintenance?
