I bought heated grips for my bike and installed them myself.

I dont want to cut my bike's harness and the wires in front seems very thin. SO my plan is to run the wires from the grips from the battery (through a fuse at the battery) to the front. Then i want to use the park light wire as the "trigger" for the installation. This is done so that the grips switches off when the bike is off.

I have looked at components and this looks like the right one:

Model : HFV4-012-1Z4G
Device : Automotive
Type : Plastic Shrouded
Contact Form : Form 1C
Size : 27x27x24mm
Termination : Solder
Coil Rated Voltage : 12V
AC/DC Voltage : DC
Electrical Rating : 60A(NO)-40A(NC)
Coil Power : 1.6W Power
Coil Resistance : 85Ω
Isolation Voltage : 500V
Contact Material : AgSnO2
No. of Pins : 4 Pin(s)

I am also considering a solid state device, like a SCR, something like this:  (because its much much smaller)

Group : Thyristor
Model : 2N6401
Device : SCR
RMS On-State Current : 16A
Repetitive Peak off-state Voltage : 100V
DC Gate Trigger Current : 30mA
Package : TO-220AB

I don't know if I'm going to waste my time with the SCR, has anyone done this before that can help me a little?
I dont know if you remove the current from the gate if it will actually switch off.

Greetings
