I just recently got a LED globe for one of my torches and got to thinking exactly what torches I use and keep handy.
Primary
Surefire 6P now with 80 Lumen LED. Also have 60 Lumen standard and 120 Lumen globes.
LED = 8 hours
Small keyring.
Streamlight Nanolight
Small keyring LED torch that gives about the same light as the AA maglight.
About 20 hours on 4x watch batteries
Maglight
Various uses, 3D , 4D and 2AA.
Looking at converting mine to LED now and then they will get more use. Chow batteries.
The 4D is my night time bedside torch.
Along with this
60 Lumens, about the same as the standard Surefire. Batteries last about 30 minutes.
Only additional lighting in emergencies.
And for camping and working under the bike
LED too.
