Hey guys,

I'll say it at the start, that this is a very long shot....

A friend of mine is looking to buy a 1150GS. He has found a bike but it's history is very vague. The seller got it from a salvage company and has fixed it up.....

I think he said the seller is looking for R59k odd for it.

Anyways, the details -
Silver 2004 1150 GS with 60,000 odd km up. (I have the VIN)

The bike was bought from Hamman Motorrad in Tygervalley. They only have a record of it's 20,000km service, and say that on their system it is noted as "written off". In my book that is Code 3, but the seller swears blind it's a Code 2. There are no facts either way unless eNatis is queried I guess. My friend hasn't seen papers.

Does this bike sound familiar to anyone? Until this bikes history is known, I've advised my friend against buying this bike, so...

Q2 does anybody have a low milage 1150GS/1200Gs for sale - with a known history? (in Gauteng)
