Driving my dad around the fairest Cape for a bit of a holiday.
First spotted this on Helshoogte Pass: As we were going up, a traffic cop bike was coming down, followed in short order by three superbikes. Didn't seem like they were riding together at this stage.
Later, as we were enjoying the view from the top of Franschhoek pass, what seemed to be the same group came up from the F'hoek side. This time they were definitely riding together. Not hair-raising stuff, but the cop bike was in the middle of the pack.
(Thought it might just be a cop-liveried bike, but the rider was uniformed and had his business-belt on.)
Couple thoughts occurred to me:
* Is the WC traffic division being progressive enough to offer their services to train and evaluate motorbikers?
* Could this have been a training run for potential bike-cops? (From whence the superbikes then?)
Sadly didn't get plate or bike model details...
