Some of you might know that its the Transbaviaans MTB race this weekend. I am wanting to go watch the start and possibly ride through Baviaans (or to a point and turn back). The race starts in Willowmore at 10am on Saturday, I was thinking of leaving PE at about 6am, do the 300km stretch to Willowmore on tar (to avoid the Kudus) then dirt home. I am open to ideas if there is interest.
I know 600km+ is a long day in the saddle, I have done it a few times before and its not too bad, we should be able to make it back to PE before sunset even if we stop for a few beers and lunch.
