I've been reading up in the other posts about tyres and confusion has set in... Most these posts are older and so I would like to check what's new with Heidi K60's, Mitas E07 and Anakee2.
I'm due for a new rear tyre and while I do most my riding on tar these days commuting, I am planning to go to Namibia in May with whatever I buy now - so lots of tar, but also sand etc.
I like the Heidi thread but concerned about the cracking and leaking issues reported. (Dont want to get stuck in middle-of-nowhere due to tyre failure).
The E07 seems a favorite but I dislike the thread pattern. If it does the job better than everything, then I'll look the other way..
I have an Anakee2 now and very happy with it - just a bit worried about Namibia sand on those...
Any advice? I have a scorpion up front with 50% life left...
