Using a Mousse for adventure touring???

So after getting two punctures on my ride this weekend, I'm considering using a mousse in place of a regular tube.

I ride a KTM 690 Enduro, with a rallye kit on. The bike weighs in at about 145kg (dry), and my riding will vary from tar, to gravel, to full-on off-road among rocks, sand and so on (de-widt type stuff).

Does anyone have any experience with using mousse-tubes in this kind of application, and if so, please let me know what you think?
