Versys N light issue

My 2014 Versys 1000 has recently been giving me an issue where after a ride, 2km or 200km,doesn't matter, when I slip into neutral, it shifts, no problem, but the neutral light doesn't come on. But if I put it on it's side stand, the light comes on.

Literally 5 minutes ago, after a ride, I noticed the light illuminates if I lean the bike far enough while in N.

Does anyone know what the issue might be?
