Visor help!

Hi Guys
I have a flip up helmet. A few weeks ago I bought this "Wonder" sponge in a bike accessory shop. Anti bacterial, super cleaner bla bla bla  I was told and cleaning visors like you have never seen before.
Cut a long story short.....after I used it, my visor is now "dof"....if the sun is remotely ahead of me  it feels like youre looking through a fogged up visor.
Is there ANY way I can make that visor clean and clear again? Somebody even suggested to use brasso?
