Hello everyone!
We are Matthieu and Pamela, a French-American couple that is headed your way this March. We have traveled 2-up around Europe, Asia, North/South America on our beloved 1150GSA since 2010 and are now looking to ride around Africa. This time we thought we’d buy a local bike so we don’t have to deal with shipping or Carnet de passage restrictions!
We will be arriving on 21 March into Jo’burg and will be looking for a bike, either another 1150GSA or, if it fits in our budget, an early model 1200GSA. It’s possible for us to bring our own panniers/rack, but if the bike already has them we would be very happy as well.
