Why is it always that when i am looking for something, it becomes a 'sought after model' or 'you'll struggle to get one of those' & i end up paying through my nose. BUT when i want to sell, there seems to be a surplus of stock & no one wants what i have to offer. life sucks.
Having vented my spleen
I am in the market for a genuine sale- a low kilo / new model 1200 GSA 2009/2010/2011 full spec.
I contacted BMW Centurion & was given these prices on trade & retail:
YEAR TRADE RETAIL
2009 98000 117000
2010 126000 142000
2011 132000 150000
2012 165000
I have done a fair amount of research & have been cruising the ads & irritating people by phoning up & asking if their bikes are sold. (it's actually quite simple really, if it's sold put a "sold" sign & you won't be hassled!)
Just missed a 2010 model with 500km on the clock for R120000 with top pannier. Was sold that morning. Sorry!!!
Are there anymore bargains out there or is this the wrong forum?
We all know the value of our bikes & sometimes are not prepared to accept market related prices.
I have a 2008 GS 800 & BMW say I can get R57000 for it. Stuff that, I'd rather keep it.
If anyone knows of a good deal please let me know. :thumleft:
