Ok so this is the deal....
My 'unit' has decided to do a charity effort/contribution to a creche in the Tableview (Du Noon)
area...we dubbed it the GO GIRL 1 ride... :
Yep and this does involve bikes :ricky: :ricky: :ricky:....and no.....its not going to be off road
and its on a FRIDAY...... :mwink: :mwink: for those of you who can it would be great to see some of you there...this has been widely advertised at many of the bike clubs and the more I see that little flyer of ours that has been distributed to a lot of bike clubs .....the more my stomach jumps into my throat....
DATE 11 DEC 2009 FRIDAY (TIMES ARRIVALS 0800 REGISTRATION/ENTRY FEE
POSSIBLE DEPARTURE TIME 1100
COST R100 PER PERSON (this includes breakfast roll, and a braai pack on completion of
ride)
BAR WHAT A QUESTION (MIL PRICES) NOT MIL SPEC.....LOL :thumleft: :thumleft:
ROUTE FROM MIL BASE YOUNGSFIELD- LANSDOWNE - N7 - LANSDOWNE - MIL BASE
YOUNGSFIELD
THE RIDE WILL BE ASSISTED BY TRAFFIC OFFICIALS TO CLOSE OFF INTERSECTIONS
AND TO ASSIST WITH THE MASS RIDE AND BRINGING THE BUS WITH KIDS BACK TO
OUR UNIT .......AS IT IS WEEKDAY, SCHOOL HOLIDAYS START....ETC
TO FACILITATE ALL THE BIKES A STOP OFF POINT IS GOING TO BE AT THE BARREL
WHILE A LEAD GROUP WILL COLLECT THE BUS IN DU NOON WITH TRAFFIC ESCORT
THEN HOOK UP WITH REST OF BIKES AND BACK TO YOUNGSFIELD
THE KIDS WILL BE GIVEN PRESENTS AND ENTERTAINED FOR A SHORT WHILE AND
DEPART....THE REST OF US ENJOY THE DAY WITH MUSIC AND FUN FOR ALL WHO HAVE
MADE THE TIME TO COME AND SHARE :biggrin:
When I get back from PTA I will be having a meeting with a number of chairmen from various clubs on 11 Nov 2009 at Mil base Youngsfield to fine tune the details.....and yep the bar is available and its OPEN :thumleft: so if you at a loss on that evening come and join me
So if you see your way clear ona friday in Cape Town feel free to come and join this charity ride
Its better than a day in the office even tho you arent in the dirt.... :ricky:
