What camera equipment is generally used on trips/rides? I've seen some awesome images posted on this site and would be interested to know what cameras are most popular under the given circumstances... D/SLR's or P&S (mik 'n druk).
Being a keen photographer, I have a Canon 40D with an array of lenses, and certainly wouldn't like to carry this expensive equipment on the bike whilst touring. (Space and weight also being a limiting factor). The only other option I can think of is to get a good digital compact camera.
It would be interesting to know how many people have missed some great photo opportunities due to not having a decent camera at hand whilst out there.
