Hi guys. This bike belongs to an uncle down the road. Every time I ride past it I always get this itch to ask why I never see him ride it so yesterday I went over and we talked a bit. uncle bought this bike new back in the day and rode it till he sold it to the hoofseun of the school he worked it, after a while he heard it riding past too many times and bought it back again. It has been there ever since but he has lost interest in riding and it sommer stands there with the keys in.
Seeing as he is not planning on riding any more I thought it would be nice to help a uncle and get some ideas on its worth.
I do not know of any faults so I'd like to give uncle an idea of what it would be worth if all is well.
It is a Yamaha XZ550 Vision 1983 with 34,000KM.
From looking on the net not many are available but when they do come around it is a different model than the Vision and sells for about 30 to 35 thousand.
Please give me your opinions on what he should aim at.
