Hi guys. I need your advice please. I ride a 2002 Varadero. The time has now come to fit new tyres, but I have no idea what brands to look at or even what, where and who... I have heard talk of 50/50 and 70/30 treads, but what the hell??
I ride mostly tar, but would like to do more gravel roads over time, hell it is an adventure bike after all.
Obviously I would like to get best value for money, a tyre that gives good grip on tar but is able to take the punch if gravel road riding is needed. Good water displacement for the Cape Town winters. In short value for money. Tyres are expensive so I need to get this right. I have from what I can tell, full on tar tyres on now. Great grip in the twisty turns, but we make a sorry pair on gravel..
