Greetings, chaps!
So, my 600R needs to have her 3rd gear replaced, which means tearing down the motor. While she's apart, I figured I'd warm her up a little. Ok, maybe a lot! :biggrin:
Now, I need to get a new piston but I'm not entirely sure how big to go or what will get the most go out of her. They range from 610 - 654 cc. I'm leaning toward "bigger is better" but obviously it's not quite that simple. Then, do I need to re-sleeve or will the head be able to handle the bore?
I also need to replace the cam chain tensioner. Do I need to replace the chain as well?
Fiiiinaly, what else can I upgrade to max out her performace?
