XR650L oil cooler

Good morning all. I need some advice please. There seems to b a lot of info, specifically on US blogs regarding the fitment of an oil cooler on the XR650L. From XR650L owners, any advice or comments please.....
I got my bike about 2 weeks ago, 2011 with 6000km on with no modifications. Will use it for 30km daily commute and weekend rides.
