- Yamaha XT 660 Z
A lot of riders have been asking me if the XT660Z is pillion friendly. In short - YES it is I've just completed a 10,000km ride as the pillion on our XTZ from Joburg to Cape Town (via the Roof of Africa & Sani Pass) and on to Kenya via Northern Zambia and Congo. We covered a lot of kms on sand and gravel.
Getting the set up right is key though, particularly upgrading the suspension to suit the ride weight of two people and luggage. We had soft luggage across the panniers so I could lean back comfortably if I needed.
This is a great bike for 2-up riding
