I have a standard XT660R front rim which had cracked and then welded, it looks like it is starting to crack again, now I want to replace with a Excel or DID Rim but I am told the spoke angle is critical. I cannot source a 1.85 x 21" 36 spoke specific for a XT660R. Is it possible to use a Excel rim for an KTM? They both have the same amount of spokes & Width & diameter. The only difference is the hub. On the one side of the Yamaha hub the diameter is similar to the KTM hub but on the other side the Yamaha hub is larger.
Please can someone help with this issue I have come across.
