For newbies (ATGATT - all the [protective] gear all the time)
My neighbours brother and his wife came off their GS in December. She landed on top of him and was unhurt
. He however had multiple broken ribs, collar bone etc etc.
The paramedic who collected him checked out his protective gear and said "You're in pain Buddy. With your gear you qualify for the full dose". He asked what his protective gear had to do with it
"Oh guys who dont wear the correct stuff dont the morphine. We just let them suffer!"
Well that's how it was told to me - probably add it to the inbox of urban legends.
