Guys! I am planning a Zimbabwe Trip for the dates September 14 to 24. I am looking for a maximum of 4 bikes to join me on this trip so we will be 5 total. We will be traveling 90% gravel roads up the eastern border of Zim, visting places like Gonorezou National Park, Chiredzi, Devuli Ranch, Birchenough Bridge, Chipinga, Chimanimani, Cashel, Vumba, Mutari, the Honde Valley, Inyanga, Rusape, Odzi, Lake Mutirikwe, Masvingo, umoungst other places.
You will be required to ride approx. 3 -400km per day depending. A minimum of 250km fuel range, good headlights in case of night riding (emergency only), you must be an experienced gravel rider, your bike must be reliable and as capable on gravel and must be able to maintain cruising speeds when it is necessary.
We will be staying in Hotels, lodges or B&B's, these are very affordable and average about R250 per night normally includes breakfast.
The last trip I did in 2010 cost about R4800 for 10 days, I expect this trip to be around a maximum of R8000 per person but I advise everyone to bring around $1500 US which is about R12000 at current exchange, in case of emergencies etc,  Zim is still a very cheap holiday especially on 2 wheels. Beer and petrol still a lot cheaper than here! My calculations are R300 petrol, R250 accommodation, and R150 meals and beers per day which is R700 per day per person maximum!

So who is keen?? Book your spot for an unbelievable ride!

Here are a few photos from our 2010 trip;
