ZUMO 500.....Should I say more.

Purchased my Zumo 500 about 5 months ago from GPS4AFRICA, Pauli with great service fitted it to my Versys. Since then I have paired it with a SCALA Q2. Never had problems etc.

Always took care when washing the bike, cover cradle in plastic bag..only use GPS when I need it, otherwise securily storing it in its bag. etc. etc.

Until yesterday, that is.....

Did a ride out to Harties, on the way it started giving me eratic messages like..

"The accesory is not supported by the device"
"Your unit has to be installed in a powered cradle...."
"poor satelite reception"
"satelite reception lost"

At Harties, I did a reboot and the GPS was working fine.

Outside Harties got the following message..

"Power lost, do you want to continue on battery power?"

I stopped and checked the fuse, which was ok. Replace it with a spare anyway. I checked the power cable from the bike battery to the cradle for pinching etc. It was fine. Sprayed a little Q20 on all contact points etc.

Still, no power.. :bueller:

Phoned Pauli this morning, going to see him Saturday morning..I am sure the unit is still under warrantee???
