I bought my XTZ 600 on around 62000km, engine was done by previous Owner, but I serviced it anyway on about 62000 km.......new oil, plug, air element, filters etc etc
So......the new piston/rings/what what has only done around 7000 km now, even less I think
Current odo is on 67909.
Oil is clean as can be, no oil consumption (not a drop), starts easy, NO issues.
That +- 6000 km was mostly a couple trips, more than half gravel, but never laboured or raced or whatever.
..........Can I push this to 70000km, and every 5000 km thereafter??
