Ok, so I am assuming that you are dealing with Ben regarding the couriering between JHB and Walvis Bay...?

Thanks SW, I believe it is all arranged with him.

You know you've landed with the wheels up when it takes full power to taxi to the ramp.

Bike loaded and on its way to JHB. A b1tch to load with broken front fork. What a fantastic couple with an amazing outlook on life and vibrant personalities! Was great meeting them!

Yep, wish I had more time to spend with them, which was the intention at least. Travellers always come with plenty of stories....

Bike in the warehouse, no problem offloading, might have been the forklift though to keep it easy. Strapping down on a pallet and shrinkwrapping of the boxes and the bag, then it's time to go to Walvis.

Great teamwork!

Thank, great to hear.  :thumleft:
Must say, I think it's very brave of Sylvia to take on the remainder of the journey as a pillion. Hope their journey is incident free from here.

Hi Guys, I have to courier my XR from Runners shop to Walvis Bay and was wondering if it would be possible to combine the 2 trips. The cost might be proportionally less and I could potentially also contribute towards getting the bike back here.

Please let me know if there is a chance of this happening.

If they need a place to stay in Cape Town for a few days they are welcome to give me a shout. I live near Tygervalley in a suburb called Protea Valley. Their bike will also have parking in my garage next to my own one!

What a great evening we had with Marco, Sylvia, Daleen and Tony (their hosts) at my house with a few WD's, Steel Image, Josiphy and Rieks!

We handed over more than R4000 donated by the Dogs to the very grateful German couple Marco and Sylvia. Sylvia has a dotor appointment and X-rays today which will determine if she is fit to leave Nelspruit and continue with their trip as a pillion. The money donated will help with all the medical bills and the courier fees to transport the crashed bike back to Walvisbay.
Should they get the go ahead, they will be leaving to Mozambique by the weekend. We all wish them happy safe travels for the rest of their trip!
They were really grateful and humbled by the wonderful response they received in their hour of need and I must say I am proud to be a Wilddog, thanks again guys and girls!

Sylvia, me and Marco.

Sylvia, Daleen, Marco and Tony, Daleen and Tony have hosted them at their home for the last 10 days!

Ben, the courier, has sent me an update via e-mail yesterday regarding the transport of the bike. All seems to going as planned. It is good to know that they will be in good hands. I would like to recommend Ben and his company to anyone who wish to send stuff between SA and Namibia.

Thanks Ben  :thumleft: :thumleft: :thumleft:
