Sorry but some dogs here are righteous sanctimonious bastards by all accounts....

The customer (or potential) customer is ALWAYS right .....for the price of a muffin they have lost an immediate client and a future one too......

WTF..... are BMW dealerships some kind of hallowed ground that some dogs defend them...... to greet someone is courteous , it is how we civilized ppl prefer to deal with others.... the dealership should of offered the man a muffin and his child ..its how clients and potnetila clinets like to be treated....

for the price of a muffin ...jeepers

As this dude is a part owner, it does not help to go to the dealer. I would suggest you take it up with BMW SA. I am sure someone at WD has some senior persons details and also tell them you posted it on WD.
Not to defend you as I have read all of the comments, he started the agression and did not give you a chance to explain. The customer is always right, so what if you wanted to have a muffin, why are they there? Is it for people who own or buy a vehicle can have a muffin? Crazy attitude, actually small minded. I would have lost it as well, maybe even more! They can come to Donford in Stellenbosch for some lessons!

I would not hold my breath to get a response from BMW SA - their mouths are probably full with muffins anyway  ;D  Lets have the twatwaffles name and we can award him the monthly trophy ... and yes faarkem go to another dealer. It is very typical within some dealerships to be judged this way ... makes you want to buy a KTM and do a burnout on their doorstep I bet  :lol8:

Northside, my favorite sales team. Went there for my first bike, was ignored by three salesmen. When one of them eventually approached me and asked, if he could help I said, thanks, doesn't look like it. No complaint from my side. What for?

Since then I bought 1 brand new Dakar and 3 brand new GSA's............not at Northside, though.

Blah blah ... one side of the story waka waka waka ............ as I said the customer is not always right BUT he is the customer.
I experienced this kak attitude when I visit this dealer, had to collect a key for a mates RT. They are fuckwits and arrogance abounds. Most people go into a dealership and try to get out ASAP, it is not a pleasant experience, worse now that the 1200LC/ ADV has been launched. Make you feel like you need to give them a BJ to get service. You have muffins on a table and a person goes to the trouble to walk in and onto your floor and take one, so what if he was there for a muffin for his daughter, you turn him into a BM owner ...... but NOOOOO let's rather be a twaalie ....
Last I saw the bike trade was not exactly printing money, but they do seem to have a heap of arrogant ass holes that work in it.
Just because your past did not turn out like you wanted it to does not mean your marriage will not be better than you ever imagined it could be.

Me: "How are you sir"

Me: "How are you sir"

Me: "How are you sir, Sir I am greeting you?"

You were being a chop here...

It is not as if you really care how the person is.

Then based upon the person's reaction it seems you were being rude and loud and they decided it better to get you out of there.

Once again I think we are only privy to one side of the story, as is Helloandfuckyoupeter...

You are 100% correct as you were there ;)
Again you are 100% correct, I have only stated my side here, if the dealership wishes to express their opinions here they will. I posted because I was offended as to why I am told food is for customers when I was not even indulging myself on the food. I am also not labeling the entire dealership but only person whom I had experience with.

You are of course entitled to your opinion which is why I am not going to disagree with you ;D

Thank you for the confirmation  :thumleft:

Three pages about a client that was playing word-games/word procedure with a person at a dealership
and then it blew up into HUGE situation about a bloody muffin  ::)

Why dont you guys come and post about real life issues and problems................?????

To be honest, these threads about stupid/nothing situations is becoming really boring and
wasting everybodies time.
When you posted this on the forum, what did you expect from the forum or rather
how did you want the forum to react ?
What good or bad can come from this ?

Is there a lesson to be learned ?

Sorry, but I can only come to the conclusion that the forum is becoming moan-fest by many..........

:snorting:

It's sad that you had this experience.  I don't understand why in our economic times and considering bike sales worldwide is at an all time low, one can still have experiences like this.

I just have to add... (Sorry). I have had absolutely fantastic service from them always, sales and service.

But dealership Sir asked how he could help you....
You ignored his question tsk tsk tsk
Maybe he thought you were trying to teach him manners that he did not have or want😜

Daai wassie water nie, daai was GIN. :pot:

The BMW client relation machine is a well-rehearsed and oiled but fake situation. Every once in a while the true colours shine through.

Muffins. Just the name sound so BMW.

I also say, with motorcycles this ugly, why attempt to gloss things over with good manners? Vertel die customer sommer kak. Pas jou muffin goed op. :imaposer:

There is always two sides to a story and I have come to the conclusion that you don't believe any stories on Wilddog till both parties come to moan on here. It is sad that one get these experiences still and I have had also but I have only had fantastic service from Northside.
