Will it fit
« on: January 26, 2016, 11:18:12 am »
Hey dogs
The subject heading might be a bit misleading :imaposer:
But anyway I'm going down to cape town this weekend and thinking of maybe picking up a ktm 990 there, now the question is will it fit on the back of a double cab bakkie or should a take a trailer?

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

A mate of mine transported his DR650 to Springbok on the back of a Nissan 1400 - obviously the klap wouldn't close either.

He put a dik builders plank on the back of the bakkie, and tied the bike down on the plank - that way the weight of the bike was spread over the whole bak, rather than having the rear wheel sitting on the klap.....

Just a thought.....

Good advice and yes it will fit with an open tailgate. Frontwheel left front and rear right on the tailgate. Strap is so that is stands upright not on its sidestand.

Recently did CT to George with a DL650 on a double cab. Extra straps pulling up the tailgate so back wheel weight wasn't on the tailgate cables.
I'm confused about bubble wrap on tailgate - what's this for?
