This morning cold windy could swear I was somewhere in the Kalahari drinking moerkoffie outside my tent. And wondered where this strange love for DS riding started.
Its weird my parents aren?t into camping at all, yes they like to travel with their car every so often. I was in the Voortrekkers (Like Boy scouts) we did camping and I liked it.
My dad had a bike when he was younger I never saw it, or pictures. But the first Dacar Race I saw on TV when I was about 18 I was hooked, The first Picture I saw of a Africa Twin I was hooked. Then I bought my first Bike at the ripe age of 27 a Yellow BMW 650 GS and never looked back. And I was in tears the day she died but all was forgotten when I sat on my first true ADVENTURE LEGEND the Africa Twin.
So where did that love for the outdoors start, its not generic maybe some people is just born that way?
What ever the reason I sure am moer glad it happened to me.
