Zooka KLX 150 - advice needed please

I have been looking for a play bike for my wife for a while. Unfortunately she is very vertically challenged so most bikes are just to tall for her, even the TTR230.  Despite all my input she has turned down every bike I've taken her to see just like a female Weaver Bird and a kak nest.

Anyway to cut a long story short, we happened to stop at a bike shop in Bellville on Saturday and she sees this Zooka KLX 150 big wheel pit bike. She sits on it, and declares she is in love and I must buy her this immediately (I Think both feet planted securely on the floor had something to do with it).

I've already been warned off the Orion (thank you) and was wondering if anyone has any experience or thoughts on this little bike. They seem to be fairly well backed up (Big Boy Scooters) and for me the R9500 price tag is a big bonus. If it's an okay bike, I can make my wife and my bank balance very happy at the same time.

Any input will be appreciated. Thank you.

I bought my dad the Puzey 125 stomper, (same model as klx, just puzey) and its awsome, he's also on the heavy side, and the bike goes!

Puzey spares are easily obtainable.

Solid motors (as long as you chuck in some oil)

Me and Tr0jan both have the 125 Zooka Big boys, and they are awesome.

Mine is bullet proof! Not a days crap, only endless smiles!!

I agree, the 125cc is potent, even the small 100cc goes well with me on @ 105kgs.

Just remember to drain the oil and put new oil in after 5 hours of riding

Have had mine for 18 months and has changed the oil once, was like jelly!!  Still went like a bullet!!

I'm thinking of buying one for my daughter who is 13, but I think I'm going to use it more often!!!!!

It's a lekker toy, you will most probably consider buying a 2nd one later....

Thanks very much for the input, I pick up the new toy on Saturday.

You guys may be right, it looks to me like it might be a lot more fun than my KDX, especially seeing as I am battling a bit to get used to the 2 stroke kick again after 23 years.

But there is one thing I've learnt, a man who takes his wife biking with him can never come home late, so it's worth R9450.00 just for that.
