Disappointing that only the Adventure sports gets tubeless
Pass this way once!

I agree on the notion about the tubeless - but I still prefer the standard version...

I quite like it.
Interesting that the screen seems lower than the previous one.
Also looks to be narrower in the waist area.
And glad they still come with tubed rims. I just prefer it that way

They say it will cost less than the existing model, how is that possible with the upgrades and extra electronics ? Unless I heard wrong in another video.

Hopefully Honda will now also listen to Rally owners and make it a 450 with a decent rear shock  :deal:

Waiste - 40mm narrower
4-5kg lighter
10% more power
ATAS same seat height as standard - now also lower at 850-870mm
There is so many changes - one can say it's a completely new bike !

In the recent SuperBike magazine, they've dedicated a few pages to statistics/surveys. Among these were statistics showing that most motorcyclists in SA ride something from the Honda stable....followed by BMW. I wonder if this new Africa Twin will increase Honda's share of the motorcycle market in SA?
Currently owns: BMW R1200R & Honda CX500

Previously owned: BMW R1150GS, BMW G650GS, BMW R1150R, Suzuki SV1000, Suzuki DL650 V-strom, Hyosung GT250, BMW F800ST, BMW K1200S, Harley XL1200 Sportster Custom, SYM 125 Scooter, BMW G650 X-Country

1st thing to be replaced is that screen, most guys want a touring screen on bigger bikes.

So the rumoured 850 will hopefully look like the 1000 but I wonder if the size and weight wont be too close to the 1100 ? Imagine a 650 that was made as light as possible with 70HP or so, now that would be a great bike as well.

Standard definitely looks better. Less is more, although I could still point out a lot that's still too much.

But, that's just me.... :patch:

I hope the US price increase is not reflected in ZA!

https://www.advpulse.com/adv-news/2020-honda-africa-twin-announced/

"Pricing for the standard Africa Twin is up $800, with the manual version at $14,399 and its DCT counterpart going for $15,199, which seems quite reasonable for the electronic upgrades alone. However the Africa Twin Adventure Sports version, with its trick electronic suspension, is up $2,100 over 2019 pricing, with the manual shifting unit listing for $17,199 and the DCT, $17,999."
