Wes that's a bad ass piece of machinery, enjoy  :thumleft:  Would it be wrong to say I'm jealous?  ;D

Nope. It would be sooo right to say you're jealous - the more people that are jealous the more puffed up my ego becomes  :ricky:

Went for a lekker ride today, at last!
...snip...

rode behind you just before Cape Gate. It sounds sweet as it is, can't wait to hear it with the louder pipe

really? when, what time, what car / bike?

In a cage Saturday after 2pm sometime. If I was on a bike I would've caught up to perv (the bike!)

Right, so I had her at Superbike Solutions yesterday for a minor service and a once-over to make sure there was no major work that needed doing. The good news is - she's in good nick, nothing wrong with her, nothing lurking. Just a couple things we need to check when I bring her back for the dyno tune - valve clearances, timing chain, and she's running very rich (only getting 14km / l at the moment!)

The bad news is the battery "plate" has a crack that needs welding. No biggie - it's not crucial to the structure. Also - the spark plug has been cross-threaded, so we'll need to sort that out. Wrench also sorted out the problem with my airbox cover mounts which were a little buggered.

Wrench's workshop is immaculate, the man is professional, good at what he does, and very friendly and helpful. I can't recommend them enough! As soon as I get the Leo Vince on when everyone opens in the new year, I'll be back there to check valve clearances, and for a dyno tune.

Next up, I have a piece of offcut allu here that will hopefully be transformed into a new luggage rack soon, and an assortment of riser blocks and clamps to hopefully finally get those fatbars fitted. Watch this space!

No worries - it's really minor, and also very well tucked away. Very hard to spot, without taking everything off the bike first!

Thanks guys

First hurdle in the farkling has hit already - tried out the Rox risers as a solution to fitting the fatbars, but they add way too much rise. Since the spacing on the clamp bolts prohibits me from using universal adaptors, I will have to resort to either ordering fatbar clamps from the states, or getting new clamps made locally.

You have to be absolutely smashed to have the guts to attempt it,
But perfectly sober to achieve any success!
