That tyre is going to dissapoint you Wes, I have the front and just replaced the rear. The rear started tearing knobs at about 600km, and was completely shot at 1200km. Even the FRONT has started to tear knobs? How? I dunno man

I've got 1000 on the rear already, including a lot of tar - no knobs tearing yet. And I weigh twice what you weigh so I dunno what you're doing wrong  :deal:

Update time!

- Bashplate is finished thanks to Blazes and should be in my possession any day now.
- I am still waiting for ze yanks to send my footpegs.
- Having exhausted all options with regards to fatbar adaptors, rox risers, etc, I am also in the process of having custom handlebar clamps (top and bottom) CNC'd for me  :thumleft:
- The battery plate that was cracked was welded by Scorch, who fitted the Leo Vince for me.
- I ordered my 5 gallon tank last night from justgastanks.com. Some report it as holding 5.2 gallons, that's about 19.68l. To be safe, I ordered WeaponMX foam with it.
- Bike is being dyno'd this Saturday

So on Saturday I took the Husky down to Superbike Solutions to have it dyno'd. I was way unhappy with the fuel consumption, and I wanted to get rid of a couple of flat spots and get the bike running lekker...

The husky waits patiently as the_priest watches Jules work on his DR

Where does this go? Damn italian bikes!

Jules giving it horns on the husky

The results...

Run 1 (blue) - stock pipe
Max power: 44.61
Max torque: 44.21

Run 2 (red) - Leo Vince, with noise insert
Max power: 44.94
Max torque: 45.61

Run 3 (green) - Leo Vince, no insert, tuned
Max power: 45.42
Max torque: 48.11

I was surprised that swopping out the pipe made such a small difference, but I think it's a testament to how well the Husky's stock pipe works on the bike. Overall I am very happy with the final result, and it has definitely made a huge difference to the way the bike feels - the extra power and torque is very much noticeable and let's just say the front wheel has become a lot lighter  :ricky:

On the way back we ran into Stroke-Her, who graciously showed us the quarry at Macassar

My hat goes off to Julian and Simon at Superbike Solutions, I can't praise them enough. His workshop is immaculate and his work is thorough... this is the second time my bike has been there (first was for an oil change and once-over when I got her) and both times have been nothing but pleasant.  :thumleft:

Just remember, he doesn't accept cheques, wine or apples as payment:

That torque increase is what's doing all the talking. Nice one.

I wonder if Julians business should be renamed to Super-Dualsport Solutions?

Somedays, life's like a middlemannetjie.

+ 1...Check the linear delivery of the open Leo across the rev range, so yeah, the pipe makes a huge difference.

A lot of people tend to think (incorrectly) a dyna tune will give you lots of extra horses, ...not, but the quality of the power, man o' man. In this case money well worth spent!
