My father "outlaw" has owned both old and new - knows them inside out. He can advise re the relatively easy mods to improve handling. Will cost a bit to sort brakes.
Still retains cult status and is an awsome machine. Goes like stink for the first meter and then it's only you the bike and the thrill

If I remember correctly there were some imorts that had the de-tuned motor which was a let down for the enthusiasts - make sure the prospective bike is not one of these.
