+1....hates corners....the new one does corner well however....

They say it is the bike version of an American Muscle Car. Sounds cool, looks cool and goes like the clappers. Quite comfy.

Shitty handling and weighs a ton. Nice and thirsty too.

You get them quite cheaply and even much later models are cheap.

My father "outlaw" has owned both old and new - knows them inside out. He can advise re the relatively easy mods to improve handling. Will cost a bit to sort brakes.
Still retains cult status and is an awsome machine. Goes like stink for the first meter and then it's only you the bike and the thrill    
If I remember correctly there were some imorts that had the de-tuned motor which was a let down for the enthusiasts - make sure the prospective bike is not one of these.

2300cc inline 3. Now that is a muscle bike.

I've heard you can get a big bore kit, 3200cc 

Turbo and supercharger also available....

let me guess both your ktm's are broken and busted and now you need a 3rd bike just to get around

The V-MAX is a formidable motorcycle, handling very stable on smooth and gentle curves. It is obviously not a RS250. The brakes would be fantastic on a R1, but the V-MAX weighs a 100KGS more......But that engine is so good!! Reiability is a given with the Piano Tuners.

Ja, we had a look at those too. They're awesome bikes, but they're even bigger than the Yamaha and being a Triumph, more expensive.
