Thanks everyone for your nice comments  :thumleft: :3some: :thumleft:

Ps I must just point out that I LOVE the GS 1200 and I think it is a fantastic bike . It's just for me not being a very strong person the smaller Tenere makes more sense on technical and in trying conditions . For big strapping men with stamina and strength the GS 1200 would still be the perfect bike to have   :thumleft: I really dont want to be thought to be BMW bashing here  :o

So voordele BMW 2, TENERE 660Z 100! Ek spot nou:-) Tenere die beste! Padkaart voor my Jansenville toe...

What a great ride report. One of the best I'v read, awesome respect for you on a 1200 GS Rynet and to you Mark, for your patience. Yes the Karoo certainly had its faire shair of rain.

Hats off to both of you, a once in a lifetime experience.  I am sure you both wished for more traction on the back wheel.  for all the other Cape riders out there, the Karoo had some nice rain this year, go out there and see it!
