i love not knowing where the heck i am, and having to find my own way back out of it!
yes, i do have a gps, but it has no map feature; just the basics like speed, distance, elevation, and waypoints - the way i like it!
i like to rely on my own sense of direction (or sometimes lack of it), and attention to detail to find my way back. but if i cant find my way and get lost, its even better. that feeling of desperation excites me, because it is me and nature. it's a race against remaining daylight and my remaining fuel range.
besides, whats the worst that can happen? i can see something new, or at worst be late for supper :lol:
