Please Help, I'm not very technical on these matters...
I was shunting along on my R1200GS (2010) this morning in 6th gear, when all of a sudden the gear reading on the display went blank, and the bike appeared to change down to 5th. I kicked the gears, and although it didn't seem to change gears, the reading returned to 6, and all returned to normal.
The bike felt very unstable during this. I then attempted it under full acceleration, and it felt like it wanted to do it again, so I eased off.
Is this possible, or is something else on the go?
