Is this problem peculiar to BMW 2007 model only?  20K, you have to sell your kidney to fix an ABS  ??? ::) :o

Send it to Jughead.

He rebuilds them.  Dropped my bike in the morning, got it back in the afternoon, all sorted.

Charged me R4k, includes all labour, new brake fluid, 5 year guarantee etc, etc.  Haven't had a moments problem with it since.

Can contact him on oh 82 823 8980

Speak to Warren James owner of East London Suzuki/Kawasaki. Warren has replaced a pump or two before and was of the opinion the old unit could be opened to replace the motor brushes, which seem to be the problem . I have not asked if he has been successful, but he seemed very confident that it would not be a big deal. Try him and see. He is very competent and runs a good shop.

this posting is de jevu for me.
I traded in my 07 for exactly that reason!
I paid around R6000 for a used part which I gave to the BMW dealership in the checkers packet (along with the bike).

I have an 09 and am holding thumbs it holds out.

Acme is only 2kms from my house and I pop around to Andrew rather too often. Let me know if i must drop in for you.

Sorry Jughead told me he will give me 1 year guarantee and not 5 years, which is the correct one?

So, on Thursday, I met up with Jughead at Goudini Spa near Worcester, and he replaced the pump right there.  Working like a charm now.  Thanks Jughead for going the extra 600 miles.
