    F650 GS Water pump shaft

My 650 has developed a leak again under the water pump again. I repaired it about three years ago when I made my own shaft. We used a dowel pin and sparked the hole through for the drive pin for the gears on the shaft. It has given me no problems all this time and now I see it is starting to...

Anyway i leave to go home and the bike starts no problem but about 3ks down the road stopped at a robot the bike just dies. Hit the starter...

Dakar runs for a while and then cuts out.

I have a problem with my 2005 Dak in that she will idle in the garage no problem. Take her out on the road and she will run for a while say about 6/7 km then you notice the rev counter is bouncing around at about the 6000 rpm mark then she looses power and dies. Sometimes she will start right...

    Zingela Xmas Ride -

Thanks to all who had a part in organizing the ride. The green route was great especially the ride up the pass after the Bloukrans river crossing and down into Zingela(how relaxed can a man be there). The return trip via Colenso was better than some of the tar roads we drive on daily. Thanks...

    Dakar side stand switch.

My bike died on Sunday after a good day in the saddle. We were about 40ks from home when i noticed the rev counter was doing 7000rpm and dancing around. When we stopped the counter only went down to 4000rpm but the bike was idling with no hassles. About a k down the bike just cut out and died...

    Impendle with JonW

Not to much damage done Ian. Couple of broken indicators but I wanted to change them anyway so now is a good reason. Spots also broken but them as well will be replaced.Other than that the body was worse for wear. Will be back on the road again soon once the water pump is repaired but that...
