Allow me to impose my opinion let's see: No tyre creep at low pressure causing pinches and valve damage no need for rim locks 5minute repairs as opposed to 45minute repairs less tools to take along lower running costs in the long term (?) no sudden deflation when punctured lower wheel weight...

For normal road use there should be a 10% difference between cold and hot pressures , if it is higher the original pressure was too low and vice versa. The important factor is also to use the same pressure guage , I have found the Michelin Vigil guage to be the best .
