Friend of mine dropped (side stand incident) his bike and damaged the black side cover & had to get it platic-welded + small f800 sticker got damaged. I made him a set and a few extras. If anyone is in need of some, drop me a line. They are free.
Once the chain is on the bike and the master link in place what do you hit up against? The sproket? I have crimped both pins a bit with ball-pin hammer but not too sure if it's enough. Dont want the chain to come off!! ???
I have just fitted my new DID chain, but it did not come with the standard master / circlip link, but rather the master link that needs to be "crimped".
Does anyone in the Table View (Western Cape) area have one of these tools i can borrrow - just to crimp the 2 pins over...just to make sure...
Dogs, would this be an option to protect the radiator from stone damage or will it restrict airflow too much? I have designed it quickly + cut it to see how it will look like. Have not installed it yet.
Very interesting - i had the same noise on my bike and replaced all the seals, bearings and races n the swingarm - guess what - after spending the bucks the noise is still there. So, i will also now have to look at the linkages...and spend some more. Did you replace all the bearings and bushes...
So, had a look at the hydraulic coupling situation tonight - had to replace it with a pipe & 2 hoseclamps. What happend was is that i have actually cut away too much of the pipe (seated the rings properly etc) resulted in the pipe pushing (where it makes the curve up) hard-up against the casing...
Yeah! Suppose you are right - if it does the trick why bother too much about the look. Think i might have to swing over to it as i am not too sure how to fix the leak on the bloody hydraulic fitting.
Replaced my waterpump over the weekend aswell - 52000km on clock - x2 gears were in perfect condo. Only hassle i've got now is that i have cut the oil return line + fitted hydraulic "coupling" / connector and it's leaking oil at the bittom end - made sure it is seated properly over pipe etc. any...
