Sorry, don't want to steal the thread! Is this true, cause I encountered a strange problem with my Dakar over the last weekend. The engin started to miss a bit and the when I closed the throttle it the engin just kept on revving! Afterwards the bike wouldn't idle. Thought it was the computer...

Also, I suggest you don't do too much dirt riding with the standard Dakar topbox - have you seen how it vibrates and shudders. Agree, did a short stretch gravel the other day and constantly felt behind if the box is still there! Thanx Michnus, saw that, will do. Some people are just plain...

Looks good bobnob, Do you need brackets to mount the side panniers and can I mount those with the topbox? Is there a web address to view the kappa range? Thanx

Hi to all, I've got a BMW topbox for Dakar, but don't like/trust it very much. I like the functionality and look of the soft luggage options much better. I also think it will carry better on rougher trips than the hard luggage options. I'm no expert in this regard so this is only an opinion...
