I mentioned the kids because it was stated earlier I was not old. I am. If it irritates you I am sorry.  I must admit it was a stupid thing to add and totally irrelevant.

Top Bike happens to be my favourite read. In a PM to Davy at the beginning of this thread I said that I did not take offence at what Jacko said. Then the insinuations started and I really don't appreciate that. Maybe they were meant to be tongue in cheek but I have to react when insulted...

Thanks for all the good advice. I will take it all into consideration. We are just a small group of people who love to ride and are planning to ride in the same direction at the same time. No politics or personal hangups. Thanks to those WD members who can offer advice without hidden agendas or...

Thanks for the road report Fred. I was hoping they had fixed the potholes by now. Thanks for the support Colyn and I look forward to meeting you Davy. Jacko you obviously have some type of problem. Why the insults? Maybe I have lost my sense of humour but I will now cease to post on this thread...

Apart from the fact that I believe that riding 7 000 Km is an adventure on any motorcycle even if it is on tar your sarcasm is not appreciated. I ride my bike for my pleasure and no one elses. Some people like dirt others like tar and others like the track. Some do motocross and others do...

    Triumph Service

I promised the dealer concerned that I would make an entry here when matters were resolved. With regard to the 675 it was collected today and the owner reports that he is very happy to have his bike back. Whilst it is understandable that certain proceedures have to be followed during a warranty...

    Tunisia to Cape Agulhas

This morning I had the privelage of riding a couple of hundred Km with two chaps on the final leg of a trip of about 15 000 Km from the most northern tip of Africa to the most Southern. Marius Venter rode an Africa Twin and Trevor Keith an 1150 GS. If you are thinking about doing a trip like...
