Top Bike happens to be my favourite read. In a PM to Davy at the beginning of this thread I said that I did not take offence at what Jacko said. Then the insinuations started and I really don't appreciate that. Maybe they were meant to be tongue in cheek but I have to react when insulted...

Apart from the fact that I believe that riding 7 000 Km is an adventure on any motorcycle even if it is on tar your sarcasm is not appreciated. I ride my bike for my pleasure and no one elses. Some people like dirt others like tar and others like the track. Some do motocross and others do...

We are putting together a short 10 day trip to Rundu via Jhb, Francistown and Katima. From Rundu we will ride to Walvis Bay and then on to Luderitz via Marienthal. Then home via Upington. The entire trip will be on tar. We leave Cape Town on 24th April and Joburg on 25th and get home 0n 4th May...

Hi There, yes we are back after a fantastic trip of almost 6 000 km. I will post a brief ride report with some pics as soon as I get a chance later this week. It was great to meet Stephan and Red and the rest of their group on the Caprivi. Till later.
