Hi all Haven't been on here in quite a while. I'm selling the ol' KLR since I've not been riding and probably won't have the time soon either. She's got 45 500km on the clock and has accrued some bumps and scratches over the years, but she's still running sound. Got a sticky accelerator cable...

I don't ride without it. Saved me and my brother's behinds. After the first few minutes its just another piece of gear and you dont even notice it.  :thumleft: I regard it as the second most important after a helmet  :thumleft:

Turns out it was the back speed sensor. The ABS was from low voltage so the battery just needed charging and the fault log reset.

The GSA doesn't indicate my speed immediately after starting and the ABS doesn't work. After a while of riding the speedo comes back to life, but still no ABS. Anyone know what might cause this??

My cousin came to stay on the farm with us this weekend. After talking a hell of a load of nonsense and playing games etc. we received the great idea of teaching him to ride  :ricky: Luckily the little XR125 was standing all alone and ready to go so we strapped his helmet on and gave it a go...

:eek7: Buy him a decent KLR 650 second hand for that price!!! Got mine for R40k (I am 18, so I know he would appreciate it). I've never thought about another bike, because I'm lucky enough to have jumped from an Honda XR125 to the KLR.

We might also be heading up to aisais that time!! :peepwall: Might I be bold and suggest a get-together?? We live in Koekenaap, about 40km from Vredendal. Easy roads to AisAis from us!! PM Jondu for details, he knows those roads better than I do!!
