    Engine rebuild

So in short after 120 days this is how it played out: BMW advised that the most cost effective way would be to buy a secondhand motor in put it in, they know a guy... I went for it, fix the problem and put the secondhand motor in, 25k for a motor with 40k on the clock and 8k in labor and other...

    Engine rebuild

So,, my 2006 GSA dropped a valve... Quote from BMW is 39k which on a 70k bike does not seem worth it. but selling it for parts is also not an option for me. At first I thought that I'll rebuild it myself but after I read pleco's whole tread it seems like finding an engineering shop or reputable...

    Damaged rim hub

Need some advice please. About a week ago I bent the outer rim of my 1200 Adventure fron wheel. I then took this TMS in Centurion to get fixed as they assured me that they can do this easily. When I got the rim back and after fitting it, the brake disc would rub against the caliper when turning...

    Which bike for 160kg

Thanks for the quick feedback. Looks like his mind is made up on the 1150, so he will be able to include some rider kit in the budget. Anything specific that needs to be checked on these bikes? Are there any major work that will to be done at some point?
