It's simple. If you want longevity of engine life and reduced maintenance then buy a 4S. If you are happy to spend quite a bit of time maintaining a 2S because you love the snap then that's the way forward. A 4S will probably be a little easier on the other bits of a bike as well - chains...

Thank for the info chaps. I guess I'm going to have to forget the riding with lightweight gear then. I'll have to root out some all season gear to cover the range of temperatures.
