    Another KLR'er in your midst..

Welcome to KLR clan..............I have a 2008 Model, awesome bike!! Would not trade it for the world. You get use to the vibrations, they are normally worst above 120 km/h. With regards to your speedo, 5000 RPM should be in the 120 km/h range. Bought myself a Vapour computer when my speedo hub...

    Speedometer Stoped working

Groenie - who is the local agent for VAPOUR? I have been on their web site and there is one there for +/- $130, but then there is shipping still to be added. If they are available locally, much better option.

    Speedometer Stoped working

Went to Kawasaki this morning to check for spares, after taking the wheel off last night to check. Found the hub to be the problem, totally stripped around where the two tabs are meant to go in.....the speedo unit is still fine, the root of the problem seems to be the spring that is contained in...

    Speedometer Stoped working

Hi all, Riding to work yesterday, heard a strange sound like the tire rubbing against the swingarm. Got to work, done a visual inspection of all parts that could rub on both wheels, found the speedo cable guard on the front wheel could have been the culprit and moved it out the way. Rode home...

Where can one get a sealed battery for a KLR

I bought one from you in August 2010, it was a little smaller than the original but the amp hours were correct and it works like a charm. I think the part number was YB14L-A2 12V 14AH and the original battery that came out of the bike was FB14L-A2 12v 14AH. My compliments to WheelieDog his...

    Bike Stand

I am looking for a bike stand so that I can easily work on my KLR650 by lifting it off the ground. I want to be able to lift it so that I can lube and adjust the chain. Don't have much space in my garage, so it has to be small and compact, with a lifting capacity of + 185 Kg (dry weight of the...
