Hi there
The KLR's speedo stopped working at 74700km on the way to the EC Bash in Baviaans. I am back in CT with about 1000km's now missing from the clock. I would like to have it fixed as soon as possible as I want to join the club of owners who have taken their bikes from 0 to 100K all by themselves. The rev counter and temp gauge still works fine, the speedo cable looks OK and according to the experts the culprit is probably a plastic gear inside the hub. I actually like the old-fashioned bare basics analogue look of the OEM dashboard.
Does anybody know what the OEM replacement/fix for a 2005 model is or should I go the Vapor route. Pro's and cons and costs if you don't mind. Thanks.
