Good to know. The problem is me riding it to the testing station. No license = no insurance, and my track record on two wheels is not great :) I'd have to trailer it there, which I could do I suppose.

No way, I live in Ajax as well! Olympus Country Estate. My problem with getting the roadworthy is that I don't have a licence...my learners has expired! (Sorry for the further hijack)

Bike is still available. I wonder if the response would have been better should I have been less honest and not mentioned the accident etc? If you are interested, but concerned about accident damage...don't be. BMW did a good repair job.

Front wheel got a flat, and I bit the dust. The bike came off better than I di,d in terms of repair costs vs hospital bills :) Repairs were done by Bavarian Motorcycles and include new front brake disc, wheel & tyre, fork slider, hand guards and some other cosmetic fixes.

I have someone interested, but nothing concrete yet.

Ja, he used a shifting spanner to bend it straight as possible while still fitted on the wheel. I will have a look at the fins and try and see what is hapenning there. Thanks for the advice.

Hi, I had the unfortunate experience of being knocked over by a truck yesterday. Fortunately this happened at low speed and I only have a couple of bruises but my Dakar's front brake disc is slightly bent. And of course bothe mirrors' clampings broke off. I took it to Nothside motors...
